Hello people!
Last weekend we all enjoyed a fantastic couple of days of festive cheer with successful junior and adult Christmas parties! Thank you to everyone involved for making them as enjoyable as they were! This week is the last week for the dojo before Christmas and it promises to be a big one with adult grading on Wednesday!
END OF YEAR GRADING!!!
The 4th and final grading of the year is THIS WEEK and it should be this years biggest! Lets finish 2017 with great spectacle of aikido and achievements! It is always important to finish a year on a high and what better Christmas present than a new belt? With people grading from 8th Kyu all the way up to Shodan this will be a great event you should not miss. Even if you are not grading I recommend you come and show support for the everybody who is.
The Derby junior grading will be on Thursday 21st December and again only for Green Belts and above – It is important you attend the Thursday Derby class if you want to grade here.
The adult grading is on Wednesday 20th December at the Sneinton Dojo, Nottingham. Grading will start at 7pm so if you are grading, being uke, or just watching please do not be late as distractions must be minimised as much as possible. The dojo will be open from 6pm to allow for further last minute preparations!
Please make sure you have test forms filled in asap and uke’s are ready!

Over the Christmas and New Years Period the dojo will be closed for up to 2 weeks with our last class of 2017 being on Friday 22nd December, and our first class of 2018 being on Thursday 4th January. Therefore, the dojo will be closed on the following dates:

EXTRA ADULT CHRISTMAS TRAINING
For a chance to burn off your Christmas dinners and puddings we may be holding extra adult classes over the Christmas period and above dates so we can avoid completely losing ourselves over the festive period! If you too are sad about lack of training over this time then please let us know your availability asap as we try to arrange additional classes. These classes will be confirmed on the official ‘Aikido Shoshinkan’ Facebook page so be sure to check this regularly and make sure you are a member of the group!
