Shoshinkan

Shoshinkan was founded in May 2005 by Andy Hobday Sensei to provide an open and positive environment for people to enjoy and explore Yoshinkan Aikido. Since that time it has grown into a popular and established dojo with an excellent reputuation.

Whilst Aikido is a traditional martial art, we have worked hard to make our dojo accessible to as many people as possible. Male and female students of all ages and experience train with us and new starters are always welcome to join our beginner classes.

Registered with the Yoshinkan Hombu (Head) Dojo in Japan, Shoshinkan is the only officially recognised Yoshinkan dojo in Nottingham. This ensures the quality and authenticity of instruction given and that our students grades are recognised worldwide by the Aikido Yoshinkai Foundation.
